Well I'm now sitting in Yuma AZ - we were able to get an appt (for 1300 sigh) so now we wait........ heading to Sterling IL to deliver on the 28th. We're hoping that we will be able to push that appt sooner - especially since I've been able to do 500+ days. However with the weather - who knows - LOL! Klingon in is SLC trying to find the trailer they want him to take to Tracy. At least that's the last I heard. I can't wait until we are doing this together!! I'm figuring about St Patricks Day will be when I can 'upgrade' to my Hubby's tractor. I can't wait!! Not that Tony isn't nice - I don't think I could have asked for a nicer trainer, but he's isn't my husband.

With this next load up to IL I'm kinda hoping to meet up w/my in-laws (brother/sister that is). They live about an hour away from where we are delivering... that would be sweet!!

    Wedge Thanks this.

Keep racking up those miles, Lady K. Sounds like it's all coming together. Don't think about the shifting. Shift short, light touch, it'll get better. :biggrin_25525:

I'm now setting in Reno. I80 is closed both directions and It doesn't look like I'm going to get out of here till tomorrow.... So, it looks like I get a 34 so I have a fresh start for the 170 drive to Sacramento... But then again, if I can just get to Truckee, I can kick DMV employee's in there in the #####.
Oh ya... DMV update. They say (per their computers) that I don't have a Class A CDL! Even though I have on hard copy of the Interm CDL.
I really think they need a couple more days off every month till they start getting their act together!

There used to be a truck stop/casino called Boomtown at the bottom of Donner's. Every time it was shut down we would pull in and my wife would get her bucket of nickels and go sit in the casino all friggin day! She did do laundry though in between ca-chinging! Actually it gave me a well deserved break of solitude in the truck while she was in the casino.

Klingon here's a link to the web cams at the top of truckee if you are interested.

Drive careful up there man! Actually the W9 pulls really good in the ice and snow. I used to love the stability of that truck! (You lucky bast***!)

I'll tell ya... I reall like this truck. I ran in the snow the other day and this thing just pulled like a dream. I did kick on the 2n drive axle just as a safe measure for traction, but I had no problem.... Even yesterday, I hit some pretty strong cross winds.... she just hugged the road like a roller derby champ! lol

Well... tonight I had a pretty good dinner (oh... oh... maybe I should be careful saying that... I am just a few miles from Doner) - In the truck. Last night, I got a "salad to go" from the truck stop. (a salad , I got to fill the togo box with salad stuff and it cost only $3.25) I ate half of it last night. Tonight we walded down to the dollar tree about 2 or 3 blocks from the truck stop (Margie, Bruce and myself). I got some nuts and stuff but I also got a can of chili.
So I heated up some of the chili and put it on top of the left over salad. So it was kind of a "Taco Salad".... it came out pretty good if I may say so my self.... lol
    [and I do]

Oh ya.. I guess I forgot to post about desert above.... lol
When I was at the store, I got some SF Chocolate Chip Cookies (a small 6oz bag) small bite size cookies. Them with a little smeer of peanut butter on top.... there will be 4 or 5 of them for desert.
