As Klingon mentioned - I spoke with a high mucky muck (really nice guy by the way) and I'm proud of my self for not bursting into tears of frustration - LOL! Anyway - that got the ball rolling and it rolled to Fontana - to a mucky muck there. Now there are were two options - 1) I get some busy work here until Klingon makes it up to SLC or 2) they fly me to Dallas to hop on K's truck on Friday... I'm going to take option #2 needless to say!! This team has been separated for WAY too long!! I'm also going to push to get transfered to a new DM... trust - once broken, no matter what the cause - can't be easily regained, and that trust has been broken in a BIG way. So that is the next chapter in the Team Klingon Adventure!! Oh and guess what else - I got to do my first random drug & alcohol testing today - I just wish they would have let me know BEFORE I had gone potty!! Sigh - oh well, what is another 1.5 hours hanging around the Safety Dept - LOL!!

Chompi, I can't say anything about the "old days", but am pretty sure, that with the advent of the QC and all these stupid confuser programs, that the people who actually run these big companies, have lost all touch with reality. JMHO!

chompi and Lady K Thank this.
  4. Welcome to our world! Lol, check and double check everything!
Same thing has happened to us, our DM is out of conley

    Good point Panhandle!

    Celtic who is your DM?

Well hopefully things will go better for the Klingons once you guys get together. If things don't shape up then keep your eyes open for better opportunities! There are so many good options for husband/wife teams. My wife and I hauled horses cross country and that was a hell of gig! Got paid salary whether we worked or not and were put in a hotel almost every night! Look into CBS sports or Nascar or Concert staging hauling. What ever it be you guys are a super couple and now both have your licenses so I don't see any reason you two shouldn't be very successful and love what you do! Don't let these stupid little things get you down. You guys have accomplished all the schooling and training and now you are ready to launch!

We will give them some time... especially since we haven't even started to 'team' yet. We'll see if things smooth out. I am sure hoping so... When we started this adventure we were seeing ourselves staying with Central for 10-15 or more years. Until we were too OLD to drive any more. Now??? Yeah I won't answer that one right now...:biggrin_25511:

simple, start the truck, push in the parking brake, put truck in gear and move it. Just don't go more than .7 miles. :biggrin_255:

now you have be the judge of what .7 miles is because your odometer won't. The trip meter will if you have one. push that button on the dash near the odometer a few times.

Well if this comany ever needs to do some cost cutting, there is a lot of over paid under worked dead wood right there that they can cut!
Then cut the night and weekend DM's there in Fontana....
They only know 3 phases.... "Call Daniel in the Morning", "Call Daniel on Monday" and "I'll repower you".

Do you know how really TRUE that statement is?
I just had this conversation with the DM Manager yesterday.
I had a load (only 4 pallets) that were going to Walmart in Pauls Valley OK. It only took them about 5 hours to unload I think it was 7 pallets. They took so long that I ended up spending the night across the street in a dirt field so I would not be in HOS violation. So the next morning, I am talking to the DM Manager for all of Central's DMs while I am on my way to the next stop, which is the Walmart DC in Harrisonville, MO. (This is another story). I only had a couple of pallets that needed to come off there... But I was trying to tell him that my next appointment after that was at Americold in Carthage, Mo., 111 miles away. We need to move that appointment. He totally refused to. His logic was that "you don't know that they will take 3 to 4 hours to unload you" Well, make a long story short, they tood 3-1/2 hours and I only had enough time to make it 50 miles down the road and not make my appointment. Well this morning, I get to Americold, I'm late and it cost the company $100 late fee. But Management is ok with that...
Why is that? All they had to do was call and re-set the appointment for this morning...

This is true but NOT all the time... the QC update about every 5 minutes. If the QC detects the truck is moving, at that time it is updating, it will put you into line 3.
This is what happened to me while I was in WVC a couple of weeks ago... That was a big mess to get straight...
