I am setting in Childress Tx. at the Walmart. I spent the night here. Got up did some shopping and I am just waiting for 7:39 to get my 11hrs back.

ok.. yesterday, I had a little fun.
First, the load I have now, I'll end up with a 99 in SLC. It started out one stop going to Portland Or.
Well, I have been on the road for about and hour after picking it up, and I a message from the "mother ship". (I call messages that come in over the QC "message from the Mother Ship") but any, it was from some guy Raymond Lange. Wanting me to confirm the temps on my bills. I replied back "see my mac14".
He replied back stating that "I" did not enter the correct temps as what was required when the order was placed and "HE" needs to comfirm the temps. He then told me that he wanted me to fax the bills to him.
I told him, First, I am not the one that puts bogus information into the system. And that the last time this happened, I just took a photo with my phone and sent it. He replied back "It will need to be a CLEAR, CLEAN photo that I can read".
So I just said fine I'll wait till my scheduled fuel stop and fax it, after all I was only about 70 miles from it.
So I took the bills in, and asked how much, because they are 8.5 x 16 they would each have to be faxed as two pages at $2 per page, with 3 bills and tax it came to $12.99
So I send in a request for a commcheck. - "reason, to fax bills to/per Raymond Lange".
Now here is where it gets good.
Micheal (don't think I have talked to him before but I sure like him), he refused to issue a commcheck. Finally someone in that Fontana office with a set of basket balls in his pants...
He asked me why this was happening. I told him because there is so much bull crap information that gets put into the computer system, no-one knows what is correct. Beside the fact that this order had changed 3 times sence it was given to me on Friday. That is most likely the reason the temps are different.
Well he said that he is NOT going to authorize $13 just to fax bills over when in a couple of days they will have them anyway.
So I told him, that in the past I just took a photo of the temps on the bills and that work out fine. But this turd wanted a "clean, clear..." So I told Micheal, that I would take a pic and if he tought they were good enough, he could send it to this Raymond.
We proceeded to talk a little, and he asked be about 'bogus' information so I pointed out that, the order said it was a live load. I had to bobtail 27 miles to pickup an empty, and then 30 miles to my pickup for a total of 57 miles, and that I would have to fight to get those dead head miles. Will, he checked and sure enough, the computer shows that I only dead headed 7 miles. He changed it.
I then told him that it was NOT a live load but a pre loaded trailer. Plus, the order I was sent said 'Manitory pallet exchange'.
Well with the DM not having a empty at the drop yard in Irving Tx like he said there would be, and that the weekend DM not even knowing where the drop yard was, he had to send an email to the planner asking where the empties were. After an hour they sent me to Nestles to get it. Well by the time I left Nestles, it as allmost 1400.
Now a little history, the order said I had a 0600 appointment time. After getting hit with a $100 late fee at my last 99 I desided to call the shipper the night before because I knew a would not make the 0600 time. I told them I could be there at 1400 and they said it was ok....
So it was almost 1400 when I left Nestles so I desided that I would blow off the pallets and just request a commcheck and pay the shipper for the pallets when I got there. Glad I did.
He (the shipper) told me that the trailer was a preloaded one. I asked about the pallets and his reply was "what pallets? I don't need any pallets". So if I would have stopped and got them I would have around $300 I wasted on Pallets.
Well Micheal agreed it was a good thing that I didn't get them.
But he also, said that crap like that gets put into the system and now every checks it to see if it is still valid. Sometimes it gets put in just as a special thing for one load and then it stays and doesn't get taken out....
Well, it is time for me to start running, I have to make Denver today or I will not make my 0300 appointment time at Safeway DC.Wedge, Trilleth, The Challenger and 1 other person Thank this. -
I don't feel good... Yesterday - had a little bit of discomfort in my L foot, thought maybe I scrubbed it too hard when I took a bubble bath. This morning - redness and increased discomfort on the top of my food. Ok - I'll take it easy, but I NEED to go to WalMart. I'm out of protein and drink mixes and munchies... and the munching I've been doing hasn't been good choices. So off to WM I go... shuttle to the term/shuttle to WM - there walking around for 1 hour/shuttle back to the term/shuttle back to the hotel. Mean while - my temp has gone up (I can tell because my lips are BLUE and I am shivering so hard I can barely push the cart), I am having REALLY BAD pain in my foot/calf/behind my knee and groin. Thank GOD I got prescribed some broadspectrum ABX that will kill just about everything but me - however they tend to cause yeast infections too (joy). Also when I'm back at the term, they let me know I'm getting shuffled to a new room w/a roommate... sigh... so I finally get back to the hotel - thank goodness for bell carts - move all my stuff over. TV is blaring, and there are 3 people in here. Thankfully the guys left - (no hanky panky or anything - just classmates) and my RM left (probably visiting in their room - that don't hurt my feelings AT ALL). I took a warm (not hot - didn't want to do any more tissue damage - but I did want to warm up) bath, I'm in bed with my legs elevated slightly - started on my ABX and waiting for my fever to break... I feel like I'm ROASTING!! I did take some Excedrin though - so that will help the pain and temp. Ah the glamoris life of a trucker!! Gary still isn't due until Tuesday - but I'm suppose to head over to the term to work on getting us a different truck... so I'm going to call - and if I need to show my face - I will!! My trainer is wanting out of his lease - and we are seriously considering that. It would only go to October (If I remember correctly) so we can see if that is for us (I think L/O will be) but again health insurance is an issue... case in point - what if I didn't have these ABX to take - that would mean no coverage (as we would be independant contractors) unless we can find some individual coverage. That would have meant a visit to an urgent care, doctor visit, and RX... not cheap by any means. Need to check with the tax guys to see if we incorporate, can we deduct our health insurance since we would be 'employee's' of the corporation?? So something to work out. So here I wait - but I feel SO much better w/my leg covered - I'm warm (almost too warm because of the fever) and I'm drinking my fluids (really behind on that today - only about 30 oz so far). I'm also going to enclude a protein drink tonight - since I'm behind on that too... Well that's it for now - off to read the forum and FB...
Of course I will probably fall asleep in the middle of it and be up in the wee hours again - LOL! Oh well - there is always HULU!!
The Challenger and Wedge Thank this. -
Walmart doesn't change appt.
If you know you will be late to Americold call them. They usually will just reschedule you, but not all the time.
Now the real kicker with Walmart. They have a 'window' one hour before, half hour after your appt. time. Detention doesn't start till two hours AFTER that window. Even if you arrive. With-in thatone hour early time they 'ALWAYS' wait till two hour after that window is up to call you back in. Unless they include the WM-008 time stamps are worthless. -
YYYYYAAAAHHHHHOOOOOOoooooo.......
I made it at last to West Valley.....
The way my DM was taking today, I thought he might be 'teetering' on me taking the next couple of days off.
So I put my truck in the shop to have stuff checked out.
If I leave the power inverter on and the engine off, in about 15 minutes, the low voltage alarm will sound.
I have been hearing kind of a cross between a "screem - grinding" noise come from the stacks when I have a load on the truck. I am thinking it might be the turbo. So I am having them check it too...
Then there is the breaks, the front break drums are really grooved bad and they are squeeling, so I am having them checked.
Then there is also a rattling that is coming from the stacks, and they are going to put some new isolators on them.
So, I MIGHT have my truck back on thursday.
(BTW ALL of the issue are legit, not made up). -
LadyK: I haven't been able to do much reading (my main thread is saved in my phone), but... you take care of yourself! Hope the fever has broken and you're starting to feel better. Don't see any new updates since then. Will keep checking. *hugs*

If she doesn't, she might end up with the other leg in a cast.... lolTrilleth Thanks this. -
I'm making him move out of his 'bachlor pad' and into a 'home' we can BOTH fit into... it will be a T2000 instead of that W9. So we will have a small wait - but that's ok... he needed to not drive for a while (been out 11 weeks w/o any down/off time) and I need to get this leg thing under control. So we decided to 'wait it out' here at the lovely Ramada
and tomorrow we will start moving our stuff over!!
Trilleth, Klingon, Wedge and 1 other person Thank this.
