Well we now have a new instrument panel and we still have the problem with oil pressure light and alarm and the check engine light.... No idea when it is going to be fixed.... I think we need to run to SLC and get a NEW 2012 Freightliner.... lol...

We want to at least last the year - then we will have our 1 year OTR experience - when that year is up though... we will have MANY more options - unless Klingon gets his way and we lease... we still waffle back and forth on that one... :biggrin_25523:

Overall you guys seemed to be doing pretty good! No matter where you go or what you do as a team you will have those re-powers and bull**** loads. Just part of the biz!

If you are pondering owner op, just keep on the back burner, those problems you are having with your truck right now you would be paying for, on top of those crappy repowers and downtime. So far everything you have been through almost exactly to the "T" my wife and I went through while we were there. Out of all the companies though we still look back at Central as one of the best! It's more of an overall picture. Plus one advantage I have right now is a clear mind of the trucking industry. It is very hard to see when you are out there driving in all the everyday frustration. Not to mention, lack of exercise makes the stress add up even more. You will see what I am talking about if you ever take a few months off from it. Both myself and my wife would constantly talk about the "stress fog" of the job while you are in the midst of it. Looking back on it, you can really see the overall clear picture.

Hope all that blab makes some sense to you guys. To sum it up, just remember it is all part of the job and bull**** happens. Most of the time switching companies or trucks won't make a difference.

    Good luck guys!

    06-08 Afternoon
Don't laugh... but they did find a broken connection on the engine block sensor... They think it might be the problem...

    06-09 (very fricken) AM
Well... knock on what ever is handy... So far so good... they replaced the sensor because of the broken connector and we have not had any problems with it yet...
Maybe next time I'll go with my gut (and popular everyone else that had the same idea) and tell them to check sensors first; or just do it myself...

Thank you for the heads up :yes2557:

From what I can gather, and have been told - there are only 2 seasons in trucking - winter and construction - :biggrin_2559:

Well from WA we went to MI to PA and now heading to UT... in that time we have had 5 - count them FIVE issues with tires... all of them nails - darn <using that word so its not censored> construction!!

We have been bouncing the idea of leasing around too... yeah I know 'fleecing'... but we are thinking 1 - 1.5 year lease... we need to stay w/Central for at least 8 more months for both of us having our year in and paying the schooling back and the golden '1 year of OTR experience'... and we are seriously getting frustrated w/fuel & permits and the routing etc... Oh and OTR maint is another fun subject (Grrrr) ... of course with the A/C problems and tire fun we have been 'dealing' with them a lot...

Days and time have been starting to mush together for me - and I post on FB and my blog, but forget to update here - (sorry) - so anyway - that is what is happening with us... still running - and still glad we chose this path... and in 1.5 - 2 years we have something else we are thinking of doing... :biggrin_25525:
