Now back to the topic at hand............
I have read allot of drivers postings in this forum and many others too, and I have yet to read where anyone actually net an avg. of $2.00 a mile or even remotely close to it.Is their anyone who can honestly say they have? Cause from where I am standing it is really a theory.
-
Heres the thing. I'm leased onto a company that takes 25%, so for me to net $2.00 a mile every load has to pay more than 2.70 a mile and have very little deadhead.
Someone with there own authority doesn't have to make that much per mile to net $2.00 a mile.
Hope you understanding my point?
With that being said, being leased to someone it will be harder to net that amount. But it isn't impossible! -
FLATBED. I charge 3.55 per mile at this time in the north east,AND IT IS GOING TO GO UP, and if it is a shot haul that can be done in one day it is a flat rate 800 to 900 not the 300 to 400 that they to get you to do it for, and if you running for less your helping to keep the rates low
