    Cut your losses and bounce out of there or haul for less than cost to get back out. You got to make your money going in and get back out, pointless to sit out there for days and not make anything.

    Meanwhile 14 years later the cost of everything has doubled and the $2 per mile is still being pushed.

    If general freight rates aren’t satisfactory for you then you should look elsewhere. Put a PTO and pump on your truck and do hazmat. Not sure where you live but there always seasonal anhydrous work available in the Midwest. Or seasonal propane. Or seasonal liquid fertilizer. Or food grade tank. Or food grade pneumatic. Or livestock.

    If you keep doing what you’re doing you’ll keep getting what you’re getting.
