You going to be an Owner Operator team?
Or working as a team for a company? -

Teams are a different animal altogether.....The potential is there to make your BEP and profit....But you'll have to exercise discipline and keep that rig rolling...... -

Will you have your own authority or be leased to some company? -
Yes that was an outstanding quote.
The future will be brighter for those who can make it through the tough times. -

Have my own freight deals.I only run about 45,000 miles a year, daycab. Average working 4 days a week.Flatbed, all loads within 100 miles. Most about 45 miles. Deliver a product made by a company, pull their trailer, can use it to haul for others if they do not have any loads. Deliver to mostly same customers. Rate is between 5 to 6 bucks a mile, I averaged $2.36 cents per mile on hub miles. I believe my cost per mile to operate is about $1.60 per mile.
I have found over the years, to do well trucking, you have to find a job different from from what others are doing.Fill a void in the marketplace. You must also have excellent customer relations. Shippers love it when you do the extra's to keep their customers happy. And they will pay for good service.Last edited: Dec 17, 2010
Our own authority is a must for me. Nothing against anyone that doesn't have it, but to me it is much more money to be made out their with it, than without it.
Just curious.
I wish you luck.
