If you hear someone at the diner complaining about the industry and griping about this, or that, why not ask them "So what do you think they need to do to fix this?"

If they don't have an answer, then you know all they're doing is just running their mouth and talking to hear themselves talk.

Exactly. Everyone is quick to moan and put each other down, but when something actually calls for ideas and helpful input to problems, then everything usually gets eerily quiet. It's funny how people in life are when you think about it.

Well here we go again with the finger pointing thing, The trucking Industry had a chance to clean its image and fix what was wrong, But they decided to do nothing and you cant get anyone to agree on nothing. Alot of us OLD SCHOOL DRIVERS can still make a difference by talking, and just taking the time to show the NEW BREED how it is to be done. Myself I'm A 3rd. generation driver, I have a son who just started driving last fall and all he runs is the N.W. pulling a reffer, Yea he calls alot and asks alot of questions, but he was raised to show respect and listen to other drivers and if in doubt to call dear ole dad. I was busting across Wyo. a few weeks ago and seen him on the side of the road helping a four wheeler, so i guess i did something right,BOTTOM LINE IS WE NEED TO BAND TOGETHER AS DRIVERS, NEW AND OLD, WE CAN MAKE THE INDUSTRY PAY US WHAT WE ARE REALLY WORTH, JUST STAND YOUR GROUND AND GROW SOME B###S, I CANT DO IT ALONE, BUT AT LEAST I WILL GO DOWN FIGHTING WITH PRIDE AND SELF RESPECT, FIGHTING FOR WHAT I FEEL IS RIGHT.Have a nice day. signed by the Ole' man a/k/a/ ####house mouse.

I'm that LAST guy to avoid a conflict (kinda enjoy it, to a certain extent), but I've approached people about bad behavior or a sloppy look, and they want to fight.

All the nice talking and diplomacy in the world doesn't help if you have some hotheaded idiot freaking out on you. I still got my point across every time, but it stands to reason that if the person has a horrible attitude, acts like a jerk, dresses like a slob... they have a reason they're acting like that to begin with.

Maturity and discipline are the primary points that are lacking - and ask yourself - when you correct a 13 year old girl or boy on something, don't they (most of the time) cop an attitude like you just stabbed them, it's the end of the world, they're never at fault, you're being mean, etc? Sound familiar for some of our truck driver brothers and sisters?

during the fall and winter months i do the pressed jeans and boots along with the pressed shirt, but in the summer im back in shorts and t-shirts or polo's along with my tinny kicks,. i maybe old with long hair but its clean and i take my daily lil shower, dont get me wrong, what gets me is the shorts or pants hanging all over them and the shirts with the rude remarks on them, oh yea dont forget the chain driven wallets.lol

And drivers...if this comment fits you... PULL YOUR DANGED PANTS UP! YOU'RE NOT A GANGSTER!

The funny thing is that fad/trend initiated as a sign that a "man" in prison already either had a boyfriend to protect him or was hunting for one.

That goofy trend that so many in the hip-hp crowd likes... along with the goofy flat hat white boys who WANT to be in the hip-hop crowd... is actually a homosexual advertisement.
