DON'T GET CAUGHT doing it. Several States have passed laws making the STEALING of WiFi a CRIMINAL Offense, even if it is offered "free".

I used a Sprint Cellphone tethered to my laptop for about 5 years before I got a Sprint Card. Was never sorry I did.

Almost all of the hotels advertise "Free WiFi". I've yet to see a sign that says "Free WiFi for paying guests."

I've actually considered going in for the free continental breakfast.

    Man Arrested For Stealing Wi-Fi,

Alaskan Gamer Arrested For Stealing Library's Wi-Fi

Michigan man busted for stealing Wi-Fi signal

    Illinois WiFi freeloader fined US$250

Stealing Wifi is Stealing.. say the Boys in Blue

A quick Google search (provided you aren't stealing WiFi) would have produced similar results. I guess you can do what you want, just don't BMW when you have to pay the piper.

How do you like the card. Right now I connect to my razr for a modem. Speeds are OK. I usually get downstream in the 300kbps, sometimes as high as 700kbps. Upstream can be slow. Its only $40.00 per month unlimited data. It seems to work pretty well. Did you notice a big difference with the card?

    Thanks

I have been told that you can get a USB plug in device and pay a monthly fee for internet service.

Is that true or did a fellow trucker tell me a lie (I know that don't happen much... lol)

You just posted on two threads that mentioned exactly what you asked about...

    It'd be true.
