You haven't even been driving a big truck for 3 years, I wonder what else you create in that head of yours.

There is complaining and then there is whining. Complaining can be legitimate. No offense and please don't take this the wrong way but that sounds like the advice of a dad who either doesn't like their kids and thus doesn't want to hear their voice all too often, doesn't want to really be "present" as a father but had kids anyways and this is his way of dealing with it or some kind of mixture of the two.

    Well, aren't we lucky. ^^^

Real men don't hide behind a keyboard or cb.

Even here on TTR, when I see someone poking at someone else, my first thought is "they'd probably hide under the table and avoid eye contact like a nervous little mouse if they were face to face"

Personally, if I must speak harshly, I reserve it for in-person conversations where I can look the person in the eye.

That's on a need to know basis. Since you had to ask, you don't need to know.

No offense taken, but dad was a hard man. Worked hard, and expected the same from his sons. As hard as he was I often saw him tear up as we said good bye on various partings. He had a hard time expressing himself. Came through the depression, and his mom and dad sent him through RPI by sewing collars on men's shirts at the arrow shirt factory in Troy NY. My grandfather, shoveled coal at the shirt factory boilers, 7 days/week, 52 weeks and 12 hrs/day. That's when work was work.
