I've got ain'ts in my pants! Due diligence done dumb-founded dis dude. Maybe some discussion about what CSA 2010 ain't will help me to get rid of those little rascals. Hep me!

It ain't medical related, no medical provisions are in it at all.
It ain't a driver rateing system, though it is set up in a way that it could be one in the future, and some company's will use it as one for hireing.
It ain't going to effect me at all, at least not for quite some time, since I have never failed a roadside inspection, and I don't have a 0 score, since I have had several inspections in the last few years.JustSonny Thanks this. -
Well it sure ain't fair and just. The lack of judicial due process in regards to the data (officer inspection reports) with which CSA 2010 will be implemented is truly bothersome. The whole program is ripe for abuse as the officer on the side of the road technically becomes the judge, jury, and executioner. I'm all for getting the bad drivers and companies off the road as doing so will eliminate the competition not playing by the rules. However, don't trample my rights in the name of a hidden agenda disguised to the American Public as 'safety'.
There's good and bad in all aspects of society, whether it be doctors, lawyers, drivers, enforcement personnel, judges, or neighbors. We rely on our system of judicial due process and checks and balances to take care of the bad. While that system is certainly not perfect, CSA 2010 takes many steps backwards. It is a system based on individual (officer) accusations with no judicial review.
I'll step off my soap box for now.JustSonny, outerspacehillbilly and Skunk_Truck_2590 Thank this. -
I'm wondering if LEOs will get more aggresive in finding "anything and everything" possible during roadsides. Are they going to be under the gun to provide massive amounts of data for a new, data hungry system. I'm not faulting law enforcers. DOT through the U.S. Treasury has spent many millions of $$ on this deal. They've gotta see it through now...come Hell or high water, don't you think?Last edited: Mar 15, 2010

One of the inequities I see in this whole thing is the hoops a driver has to jump through (DataQ) to protect himself/herself. One of the scariest issues I have with entering this industry as a driver is the possibility, even if it is a remote possibility, that my career could be cut short only to discover later, maybe much later, that the reason my career ended was unjustified. What I mean is, I could be terminated by one carrier and be unhireable by another carrier only to have my record expunged later down the road. Fat lot of good it'll do me if it takes months and months for the expunging to happen. Being off the road for any length of time these days opens up a whole new can of worms.
