I wouldn't trade my three boys for anything, that's for sure.
I don't know what it is with that age group, but most of them are lazy as all get out. You'll definitely stand out with good work ethics, etc. Must have been raised right!

i am not sure about the US labour laws--but in canada if the owner tried to make the driver pay for load,he would be laughed at sooo bad--but i am sure there are low life owners/magement like that out there
maybe the driver screwed up--surebut should he pay for it???--no way -
so you drive around a curve way past the posted limit and wreck.
Boss says you're going to be paying the deductable.
You say pack sand and give me a new trk..
Like I stated before, the driver messed up and should be held accountable for it.
Plain and simple -
yes i would tell the owner to pack sand--but i wouldnt expect to have a job either
this is part of the crap that makes this a sometimes crappy business--all the stuff the owners do to screw the driver--and dac being just about the biggest screw over--that and the wages
like i have said on another post---i had an owner tell me" if you screw up and roll my truck,i will be pissed but i wont fire you,why should some other company profit from a mistake that you learned by--if anybody is going to profit it will be me"
YOU LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES---both the driver and the company
was the driver trained on reefer operation?
probabely not -
The way some folks are talking here, your basically saying the employer can do anything with a person's earned wages and the employee has no say so. So I'm curious just how far do you go ?
I have something to throw into the equation. With CSA2010 upon us, Do you think it would be fair for employers to fire you and withhold your last check because you caused them points ? Monetary damage ?
Remember, just because the employee is gone, the points do not disappear for two years.
walleye Thanks this. -
No rookie I'm not saying the company should do what they will......I was just stating that I read my BOL's etc...and there was always a clause in there making ME liable for any damages done to the product......I never liked it so I #### sure made sure my product did not get damaged!!! Like Rollover said... CYA

rocknroll nik Thanks this.
-
i know Rookie...I was just clarifying my position for the record......LOL
But as far as CSA 2010.....that is a whole can of worms that shady companies are gonna try and pull off -
Well I know I've made a few mistakes and I have paid the deductable..
I messed up and owned up.
Still had my job also, but they could of fired me..striker Thanks this. -
i have made mistakes and owned up as well--but sure didnt pay anybodys deductable---i dont own the company---when they share the profits with me--maybe then yes
hey nick---when you signed that bol stating you were resposible for damage---now did that mean you personally?
or did it mean the company was responsible?
