    I honestly question why I need a trainer for the account I'm doing. Because it's shipper and receiver unload. I shall see.

    Because this isn’t static freight, you should know the ins and outs of the cryogenic trailers and how cryogenic liquids react.

    No you shouldn't give up, you can apply for a company driver to one of those companies to help gain experience. However plug power has had some major layoffs.

    What ever it is about how you don't like what Nalco requires you to do there loads. That would be the same thing that you wouldn't like at one of the private cryo companies. As I've said before, the cryo world is like a cult. So anyone's thoughts about how to drive a CMV has to change to make it.

    Ok if so, how many times you have to call your company for every single load to verify
    what you ve already verified so they can give you permission to offload?
    (Not talking about safety issues)

    Usually it takes 40 minutes-to-eternity for them to answer.
    They basically go over what I wrote on my paperwork .
    I get it ,there are some dumb drivers but I can tell if something fits or not and I can match
    a product name ,product tank,fill line name,verify tank capacity ,current gal and calculate end gal,etc.
    Not to mention everything has to be signed off by plant operator standing next you.
    Paperwork itself is dumbproof.
    Only nalco loads require this , other loads you basically do very similar thing but
    without wasting time being on hold.

    Oh I know. Remember I pulled nitrogen before. Actually I do remember asking what's the training. They mentioned about stuff to shutdown things on the trailer. Like I know LNG is different but I'm guessing most is similar?

    Somethings might be similar but every company is gonna want you to go through their process and training. I had nearly six years of cryo experience before coming to Airgas. I also had zero experience hauling liquid hydrogen. Yes some processes are the same but a lot more aren’t the same. You will constantly be learning in this industry and never get complacent thinking you know it all.

    It might be because you’re not working directly for NALCO. I know at AP we would treat the third party carriers similar. A lot of time those drivers wouldn’t even look at the notes and their training was questionable at best.

    I just wasn't sure if any company would be the kind of place that hires a cdl A driver (with some A experience) for a B position because they don't have enough experience for an A position...and then 2 years later the driver asks for an A position but the company turns around and tells the driver, "Well, you haven't had any Class A experience in over 2 years..."

    AP changed their policy and thats the fact now. Its harder to change back to a Class A position after being in Class B for over a year and almost impossible if its been 2 years but it can be done I think.
