Ahhh.. The Northeast supplement at UPSF.. I won't lie man, the one board is the biggest advantage to working at Con-way - I can't do it forever but it"s nice to make line-haul money when I choose to.
That would be something I would be passionate about if I was at UPSF - it's the only real way to honor seniority even if I was on the wrong end of the stick for a while - which I was.
To me, if you work at a seniority based company with a CDL, Con-way Freight has the absolute best job selection process..It starts with the top man and works its way down whether you bid day line-haul, night line-haul, city, or dock. If you want to honor seniority this is the only way to do it IMO..

i never cared before cuz i was on the lowly part time dock seniority list...our top guy still doesnt get paid vacations -
the contract also says all hours worked on sunday are to be time and a half.....ive went in every sunday night for 2 years, never once got paid time and a half....people fought that and lost it....im not really for or against the union but if were gonna have the union in here they should be doing something for us, our stewards are completely in bed with management
