I don't start until 10 a.m. being low on the board. So a lot of times it is way fewer deliveries but an extra switch or two. It is when a 7 a.m. start guy is on vacation and they don't realize it until later and give a long route to me it becomes difficult. Where I'm just hoping to get all the deliveries made before places start to close. But I love my job even on stressful days like that!

    What about you?

To not realize a driver with a 7:00 start has the week off and not realize it until after 9:00 is totally inexcusable example of complete ineptitude. That should have been ascertained no later than the previous Friday.

Yep. To be fair, it only happened once. Just an example of a time they dropped the ball for some reason. I only got a couple pickups on, but they were just happy I didn't bring any of the delivery freight back. That happened when I was brand new, so it was a shock.

Nothing better than hooking a set at a dark terminal and finding the pintle hook on the lead box is stuck shut because you're on the wrong side of the thaw/freeze cycle...

Then pulling out your torch and showing it who's boss because you've already learned that lesson.
