Owner Operators at Crete are under the same dispatch system as company drivers. Therefore they are subject to the same antics of dispatch experienced by company drivers. I was a Crete company driver before I became a Crete o/o. So I do know what he is talking about.

If you thought I was such a fair guy why would you try busting my chops over a post from five years ago?

I did sell my truck two years ago and took a company driver position at a company in Grand Prairie TX. I did so because, even as an o/o, I was having to deal with an ever increasing inadequate dispatching system, short miles, & no rate increase to offset equipment cost increase.

    mje Thanks this.

Easy man I ain't tryin to bust your chops I worked for them for about 5 yrs. Last July I quit

I have read this thread for sometime an from what you were posting of trips you had was nothing like the trips I and a lot of other drivers were gettn

This reminds when I first started there was 5 Crete trucks all unloaded same place.in Jacksonville florida I was the last unloaded an the last to send my empty call

Well guess what I get the first load offer about an hour after I sent in my empty call 1200 mile trip to st.Louis

Checked with the other drivers an I was the lowest paid driver outta of them I was 34 an they were all 42 an up

So iam just sayn from expirence tht they have ways to do things that they ain't tellin

Like oh no freight then oh wait ah minute bling 1200 mile trip

    mje Thanks this.

I don't disagree with what you just wrote.

Your initial reply was to a post I wrote five years ago in '08. In '09 the economy went south and so did Crete. At the time I wrote thatresponse it was relevant and true. Five years later it no longer is relevant or true. Therefore, neither was your initial response.

BTW, have ever read the " Crete my year in review" thread in the favorite companies thread? If you had you would understand why I wrote what I just did.

    mje Thanks this.

Totally unrelated, but what are you doing now? I'm just curious because I like to know what different things people do if they leave trucking, or are you still in the game? I tried to leave once, but 5 years later ended up coming back.

Perhaps you can go your local labor department, either with the state or city that you live in, and see if there are any job openings, in or out of the trucking industry.

    Good luck.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
