The defazio bill and ending NAFTA

I'm starting a new thread to stop other threads from being jacked by this subject

 

I'm promoting the defazio bill .
Stopping freight at the border , US freight hauled by US drivers .
And ending the job stealing ( remember Ross Perot and the quote he's famous for) NAFTA treaty

 

And before all the Canadian drivers get all worked up , I'm sure after nafta is ended a separate treaty with Canada will be made so you can keep hauling freight in and out of the US

 

I would like to see that as well.
It would be the best option for US truckers.
Let's push as hard as we can for as much as we can get.
American truckers first is my guiding principle

 

They could use the vacant parts of Detroit , build warehouses and it would be a boom for the whole area.

 

I'm sure these proposals would cost companies more money , and pure free traders will gripe .
I say tough crap if your company wants to leave the country to chase cheep labor , why should they be subsidized by cheep foreign trucking to bring goods back in .
Maybe some of those sell outs will see the light and move back
