Bouncing down the road for 11 hours a day is like dropping a ball of play dough on the table over and over again. There's going to be some 'reshaping'. Unless you wear a corset. Or do regular physical preventative maintenance on yourself.

I just born to early to see the autonomous truck on the road, in 6, 7 years top will be taking care of mine grand kids at home, but it will be a shame not to see the face of the brokers when they will try to bargain a load with the robot in a truck.

Contract season for brokers. They will cut each others throats to bid on lanes at our expense. They cut rates pad the pockets of shippers . Meanwhile they tell us its the shippers fault. Imo its a game they play. If shippers controlled rates we all be out of business.

In my opinion people only work for these wages 45-50k a year as a company OTR driver out of pure necessity I for instance have big bills coming due but after they are paid off I am leaving the OTR side. It would be extremely difficult to justify making a long term career out of OTR with the wages co’s are willing to pay these days. The sacrifice is too great.
