The Driver Shortage is a huge lie.

I don't know anyone in their right mind that would come out of Florida cheap going into Texas.

 

There is a Shortage of PAY.

WTF is this piddling .38 a mile? Make it.70 I don't need a brand new truck, just fix the #### thing and we gotta go, late already. Or even better, average 50 fleet mph x 70 hours should come up with a overall miles. Anything beyond that is BS. Call the total miles times .70 = Salary Fixed. All paid the same. Same work No more complaints, quitting, turn over. BS etc.

Maybe I am idealistic.

 

I realized 3 years ago that companies want us to work for free. Until we do that, there is a driver shortage.

I have another stop to make today. And 600 miles to drive. I'm sitting in the driveway of my first stop, which was supposed to start 20 minutes ago, and no one is here, and no one is answering their phones.

 

What the heck is it about Florida and the cheap freight? Is there a high number of cheap O/O's or Mega's down there willing to haul freight for almost nothing? I've never hauled in or out of there, and I don't ever plan on it.

 

They only make produce/food. It's all old people.

 

Brokered load? I'll bet you that the broker got the delivery time wrong.
