NY HUT stickers are truck specific and will most likely have to be sent to a terminal that you can pick it up at. You can have a temp faxed to you. But if the sticker has already been issued to the truck it will have to be tracked down to find out where it is at and if it can't be found or has never been issued to that truck permits dept. will apply for a new one and when they get it they will overnight it to the terminal of your choice.
The permits department was closed today. So it wasn't as simple as getting a temp, or tracking anything down, it was even simpler. I T-Called in NJ, (my first time on the east coast lol, I was impressed with the amount of traffic for a Friday afternoon on the jersey turnpike,) and not wanting to be stuck doing short runs in foreign territory, changed my PTA to tomorrow am. As I sent that I got a sweet 1000 miler heading west offered that picks up in the AM. I jumped at it. While the east coast wasn't as terrifying as I thought it would be, I'd still like to stay south of nyc/NJ as much as possible. (Oh, and WTF is with the turnpike exits? Exit 7 is FOURTEEN MILES south of exit 8???)
