Besides the 70 hour rule I find no issue with HOS. Oh and that stupid break all the whiners got us for telling lies last time around.

The 14 needs to stay, I would be happy if they cut drive down to 10.

Why the hell would you want that? So you can spend more time in the drivers lounge watching the dirty dozen on the tv? I’m fine with the 14, but I think the driving time should be longer. The longer I can drive the more money I can make, and get home sooner. Stop the over regulation. This isn’t Europe for Christ’s sake.

Who exactly are the lazy steering wheel holders?
    Every mega driver?
The company drivers that drive 10.75 hours in a 14 hour window?
The company drivers that found out how to be productive in their 14 hour window?

    OR
The window lickers who want to stop and eat or take a nap but the 14 hour rule won’t let them?

Truck driving is not for everyone, ELOGS just showed us who the cupcakes really are..,

Truck drivers are bunch of whiners. This is the only industry where people want more hours to drive and to do more miles instead of charging more and telling customers how valuable our time is. This is the reason why are we treated like second class citizens almost everywhere. They think we can drive 24 hrs a day and they can hold us at the docks forever. Charge more and tell shippers and receivers you don’t have the time to bs. ELD is making my job easier now since I can tell ( politely) that I am not in the mood to waste my day.

Because most of you folks have issues pushing beyond about 8 hours.

I am never in a driver lounge. Ever. Place is for losers and looters.
I work my 14 , work out, grab a shower and rack time. Get up in time for breakfast and to wake up and hit another day.

I have no desire to be hanging around with the bilge exhaust infesting lunch counters or driver lounges. For the most part I never even have to drive through a cess pool truck stop let alone get all dirty associating with folks in one.

Besides being able to cheat what's the benefit of an ELD over paper logs?

ELD you can use a "co-driver" OR use two, three, four different sets of ELDs. Just pull out the plug and replace it with a fresh one. Also, indys can edit anything they want. No different than paper.

ELD is a tool you can use in your advantage instead of whining about it. Carriers can see who is potentially problematic and who are good customers.

You seriously think DOT officer can’t figure it out if you switch one ELD unit with another one?
