I found a driver friendly device I call the Electronic Stinger, those that have been around awhile probably remember the "Stinger" for the manual fuel pumps, springs, buttons etc. I knew one day that an invention of this type would come about, all the dangers of not being able to get out of your own way, safely and quickly pass another slower vehicle or be able to merge into the flow of traffic to get out of the right lane for merging traffic can be made safe now here is how it works:

Set the SafetyPass Pro using the speedometer. Set the speed below your governed maximum and enjoy higher RPM and more speed in top Gear

check out this video of it actually in action Notice the speedometer on the Garmin GPS compared to the speedometer that the ecm, speedometer on the truck and even the qualcom reports also this handy little item can be set to show idle time to be "NONE"

Wow, what a stupid driver. Nearly 87 mph and VIDEOTAPING different stuff in the cab!!

Let's hope Mr. DOT doesn't use YouTube.

Most of the reasons they state a driver would want one would be solved by driving safely to begin with. Using higher speeds (in an 18 wheeler of all things) as an accident deterrent is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

GPS Speed is not ACCURATE !
It takes time for the Sat signal to bounce back and forth.
Stalker2 Radar has confirmed this by as much as 2 mph.

Speedometers are off by even more. GPS is much more accurate than the speedometer.

Get access to a Stalker 2 gun and you'll find things are just abit different, the average between two 1/2 ton trucks was 1.8 mph. One Toyota Tundra and the other a Silverado.
Same Garmin was used in both trucks.

How about the same laser that the NYS troopers use? They had it at a rally/fund raiser last year.

I wonder what happens if you get caught using something like that? Is it worth your job?

    Definitely not worth it.

I have matched the speed on the GPS to the miles driven during an hour and found it to be pretty accurate. I have also tried this with the speedometer and found it to be off by 2 mph.
