They need to have calf’s every so often And what happens to the male calf’s ? So in the strictest sense it’s kinda true. I do use dairy .

They go to a feedlot and have to be fed for over a year because Holsteins don’t gain weight like normal beef cattle. Then they are harvested and their meat is basically hamburger because it’s a low quality.

 

Where does veal come from ?

 

If you want good veal it will come from a beef breed, if you want cheap veal it will be a crappy dairy breed.

 

And how are those calf’s treated ?

 

Probably the same as other animals raised to harvest for food. They’re loaded on a truck and taken to harvest.
