I'd like to see them working the pens on foot when you're trying to sort range yearlings that have never been handled before, the trucks are coming up the road, everybody already has a full day in and even the dogs would just as soon go to the house..

 

Better yet Buffalo, get you some of that… them turds will take your horse out!

 

I don't get the moral argument...

What's the logic?

An arbitrary hierarchy of life where animals are placed above plants...

Both are living but why is the suffering of an animal treated as more important than the suffering of a plant?

It's really all marketing of make believe morals but if you are afflicted with the disease of veganism or vegetarianism simply reposition your view of animals as filters to purify vegetables.

A guy I know south of here invested in Buffalo. I forget what he bought, ten or twelve, just out of curiosity and to see how they'd do.
He wrote out what I thought was a pretty big check and three months later they showed up. I don't know where they came from. Hell, maybe.
First he rebuilt all his corrals and chutes where they tore them up just getting off the truck. Then he rebuilt a couple of feed bunkers and reinforced his water troughs. After that he triple hotwired every foot of fence he owned. He said they don't jump but they'd just put their head down, hunch of those shoulder muscles and walk right through whatever it was that was pissing them off.
And, afoot or horseback, they'd take on anything including dogs that crowded them
He said later that he figured he was lucky they never thought of a way to get into the house.
I thought maybe he just got a bad batch but going to a buffalo growers association meeting with him and listening to all the stories I think he got off light.

 

Nope, I truly have no belief of God at all. I don't care if someone else does or does not and hold nothing against either side. Just not something I believe in is all.

 

Ha Ha no worries I was not trying to make it a thing either it just caught me off guard is all. Never heard anyone say that in my area so was strange to me.

 

Although we surely are not talking about the real world here. To many are bringing in water in the dry desert areas and raising crops in USA. Ha Ha just saying it can be done but not smart!
