And if someone makes a choice to bend any of the regulations you’ve given as examples there are consequences. But the government isn’t there protecting people from having the ability to break any of those regulations.

My state regulates payday loans heavily limiting interest rates and rollovers. Many states have banned them it seems. I believe there’s been talks at the federal level, not sure its status federally.

They are federally regulated by the consumer financial protection bureau.

Pay day loans are regulated and there are calls to enact sweeping reforms of the industry. Most states limit the maximum interest rate for car loans that made a Federal law less necessary. For more than two decades people on both sides of the aisle have been trying to reign in the credit card companies predatory practices.

Let’s just make crystal meth and herion legal. People have the right to choose for themselves.

In theory it sounds good, but we don’t live in a vacuum.

I'm not trying to argue and I don't know you. If you agree to terms in writing that you didn't really like then yes, you would be low IQ.

We live in a Capitalist country where making a living involves somebody either being the hammer or the nail. If you're the nail and don't like being one then become the hammer.

If you are unable to become the hammer than learn to love your place as a nail and stop begging Daddy Sam to falsely make you into a hammer.

I'm pretty sure you're being sarcastic but I agree with this. One cannot claim they believe in freedom from one side of their mouths while restricting how others live from the opposite side.

I was. And I respect that. The problem with hard drugs like that is that it affects more than just the person who chooses to use them. It doesn’t just harm the user. Thus the vacuum comment.

Lease purchases are harmful to the industry. They don’t only affect the idiot that signed the agreement.

I don’t think any of you that are arguing for unregulated access to them are in favor of them. Just like I don’t think any of you are fans of drug use. I understand your libertarian view, and it’s not all wrong. But, the libertarian view is “do what you want, just don’t affect my life.” These LP’s affect my life. Maybe not yours and maybe not FLD’s, but they do mine. And it’s a negative affect. So I am against them.
