The year was 1980. The picture is a 1970. Mine was a 1972 Ford C-900 Tilt Cab.

thGX5D7K9K.jpg I pulled a 40 ft. trailer in the Cleveland Ohio area. It had a
391 V8 gas motor if I remember correctly. I don't remember the transmission. 6 speed I think. I remember it had no AC, no power steering. If it had a radio, I doubt you could here it over the noise of the engine. It also had 2 fans on the dash. It road like a tank. Anyone ever drive one?

My first ride, although it was not near this condition when I was peddling bagged ice with 45' reefer to grand Union supermarkets and 7-11's throughout new jersey in the early 80's 7381710696_bdd8607987.jpg

i believe it was a White Road Commander (cabover)(in driving school) don't have a picture of it and not really motivated to find one. These were for yard maneuvers and backing practice

The first truck i drove on the road was the International 9700 cabover. Now that was a decent truck.

I learned on a '71 Ford L9000. Same 391 gas engine, but the one I drove was converted to run on propane. Had a 5+4. I do not miss busting down those dayton wheels to fix my own flats.

We had a late 60's IH cabover gas burner. Looked a lot like the fords. Never drove it but can say it road like a tank or worse.

First truck I ever drove (well moved is the more appropriate term) was my dad's old '03 Kenworth tridrive T800. First truck I ever took on public roadways was during driver training. It was a '99 Freightliner Classic. The shift tower in it was so worn out I kept slamming my knuckles into the dash every time I hit 3rd or 7th so they put me in their '01 Volvo VNL64T.
