General consensus is about 50k minimum for food service from all the research ive done. Starting pay down here is about 20 an hour or mileage/case

Everything I've seen down here states 50-55 first year average. 20 an hour without overtime is 40k. I already know overtime is plentiful especially in the busy seasons

What do most of the food service companies look for as far as driving record. I know no duis and preferably no serious tickets and if i had to guess no at fault accidents or just one as long as nothing major

    you breathing?

    you're good.

Seriously, they can overlook lots of stuff.

it's a tough job, if you can survive 3 months (and really try and make it 3 months) it will become so much easier.

    but it pays great.

    Mike2633 and Cardfan89 Thank this.

Ive got my future plan laid out then. Go otr get some experience and money move out closer to jackson or Memphis then apply to local food service. Now gotta decide between waiting and saving money to buy a house or just renting and getting a house later after getting the better paying food job

Had to pull a shuttle for your old company mbm now McLane. I can see why you were frustrated with their equipment. McLane’s stuff is sooooooo much better then the mbm stuff.
