Way heavy. Magliners are much lighter in weight. What I like about Magliner is there extensive dealer network for parts and stuff. Wyse is a small manufacturing company from the Toledo, Ohio area and they don't have the dealer network that Magliner has. GFS our hand trucks are all Magcoa's from Cadillac, Michigan and there okay, but I think slowly GFS is switching over to Magliner. Because we now have some Magliner equipment. My actual company issued wheeler is a Magcoa from Modern Material Handling(That's the dealer that sells GFS there wheelers.)

However I think the Wyse is a better product. However Magliner by far has the best selection and makes the best knock down wheeler's not Wyse nor Magcoa has the selection of knock down wheelers that Magliner has.

Need some advice again... I’ve now spoken to grocery and food service sides of Mclane. I’d much rather do food service but I saw some red flags. The driver sup is brand he’s only been there about 5 months he interviewed by asking questions off of a piece of paper, Grocery interview was much smoother no paper questions. Also I noticed big hiring signs at the food service plants. I have two thoughts they’re having trouble keeping employees or they just took on some new accounts. Biggest thing about the FS I liked is it’s all key drops except Burger King from what the manager told me

I wouldn’t look into the reading off the paper thing too much. When I interviewed at the Post Office the interviewer read questions off a piece a paper. Everyone wants that job.

Good money in both but grocery will pay more but you have to team and most stores are open 24hr. FS good money not as much as grocery. A lot of key drops. You could end up unloading 4 trailers a week by yourself which is a lot of money but a lot of work. Or do some layover runs staying at a hotel. Which is less trailers a week to unload. We mostly only unload 48”

My thoughts on hiring bonus is truckers don’t want unload or do anything physical. They’ll take the job to try it out then it’s a shock to them how much work it is. When you go from doing nothing to working it’s a lot for some to handle. When most Otr truckers eat, sleep, and drive people can’t go back to actually working. I was OTR for 5 years it was a shock to me even though I was a furniture delivery driver before OTR.

Speaking of hand trucks, at my previous employer they would buy tires for the hand trucks from Harbor Freight. Even though the tires had some pretty impressive blowouts they continued to buy from there.

The best part about the Wyse hand trucks is that little handle on the back

you bring up your big ### stack, drop it and without tearing up your shoe or bending over, you just grab that handle and pull the handtruck out from under the pile. NO bending over, no stress on the back and no tearing up of your shoes/boots (if you use the toe method, which works too).

I heard a few years ago that magliner was working with us to make a cart that we would be happy with. Haven’t seen or heard anything.

I’ll keep my old Wyse carts.

    Mike2633 Thanks this.
