A family of turtles passed me up the other day as well, when I was on the highway ha-ha!

Sometimes the MBM trucks have just white trailers with no letters. I saw an MBM Sleeper pulling a 48 foot trailer with two doors on the side of the trailer and a lift gate underneath the trailer and just regular barn doors on the back. What's the deal with those trailers must be for what like a movie theater account or something? It had a side lift gate like Dominoes and Papa Johns use.

i saw some guys who all they pulled was regular 53's (reefer) and all they did was line haul for picking up different back hauls. But pretty rare and none at our barn that i ever saw. Never seen one with a side lift gate. Would have been awesome. Must be the way that warehouse/route is set up. In fact the domino's here only uses the rear lift gates that I've ever seen. (another ryder company)

sometimes the regular white trailers are just Ryder rentals, because everything mbm has is a million years old and broken down. (yeah, I'm bitter). Shoot, when i was there, we even had some PLM rentals. Those were bigger POS's than the ryder.

Alright let me ad some fuel to the fire get this cranking again. So for the holidays we get pretty busy at GFS and I called into transit dispatch this morning at the warehouse and told them that I would and I know we shouldn't use the V word, but I used it and did it any how that's right I Volunteered to do auxiliary volume truck on some Saturday in the real close future. It involves pulling doubles and then swapping those out for a 50' I haven't yanked a 50' in a year and a half! It'll be fun!

I pick up those routes whenever I'm able to.

I'm picky though. Two or three stops, 3-400 cases, 500 miles or so makes an easy, profitable day. I do it for me, not the company.

Well it's for me to I want the experience, however I think the trouble is by the end of the week I'll be out of hours and won't be able to participate in all the fun it's next month yet so I'll have to hammer out those details. Volume truck is just doing the market place grocery stores dragging off pallets and then boogieing on to the next stop.
