@Brettj3876 We have Mains here in Cleveland they have an actual warehouse in Oakwood Village, Ohio. However, Mains does not do broadline here in Cleveland they exist pretty much to only do Wendy's and Burger King. They run teams work 4 days week and in Cleveland use 48' trailers with ramps and dolly's no lift gates or anything fancy like that. There trucks are mostly Volvo 600s for the day cabs and 700s for the sleepers however they do have some Internationals. Because they are a customized warehouse in Cleveland they have sleepers because a lot of the runs are over night team runs out of state. The day cabs do mostly local stuff and the sleepers go to Michigan, PA, IN, WV and KY as well as Southern Ohio. There fleet is 99% automatics and when you start working there you are on call on the extra board all the time until you can get an actual run. I don't think they pay bad, but I know that there on call extra board is probably the reason they are always looking for help. People want to know there work schedule not be called into work an hour before they are supposed to get there.
They often times throughout the year have commercials on the radio looking for drivers. Sysco Cleveland as well has commercials on the radio looking for drivers, Sysco Cleveland. Also a truck load outfit out of Canton, Ohio called C.L. Logan advertises for drivers on the radio as well as the USF Holland terminal in Akron, Ohio if you are into LTL freight.

On occasion at GFS we just flat out drop trailers at customers if the load is big enough and they need stuff for like a weekend. Like mothers day or what ever they order that much will just drop a trailer upon customer request of course and then that Sunday when the weekend is winding down will come and pick our trailer up. Now to get us to drop a trailer it's a little bit of teeth pulling the company isn't real gunho about dropping trailers at customers, but it does happen now and then.truck_guy Thanks this. -
Mike2633 Thanks this.

Wow. You guys work waaay too cheap.
The only time we go with a helper is if something bad happens and we're really late. There's supposed to be a 35% reduction in the per case rate if the helper is another driver, but at that point it's about getting the job done. I've never heard of anyone actually getting reduced pay.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
So today at work I had a pretty easy day not very heavy which is good for a Monday and all like to ease my way back into work ha-ha! Although I was talking to a Northern Haserot Driver today and he said they have been busy haven't slowed down very much at all since the new year. Come to think of it we've been pretty busy to what about you guys?

Once again, I'm down one stop tomorrow. Still have 1550 cases, and the one that got pulled was 180+.

@Brettj3876 Are in Northeast,Pa near ERIE?

Well today was 14 stops and 832 cases or something like that I don't know the whole load was 18,222lbs so it was defiantly a little bit on the bigger side. Every stop today was fairly big my first stop was 165 cases and then my fourth stop was 145 cases or something like that it was the most that stop has ever ordered I haven't seen them order that heavy ever before. Anyhow I wanted to get to my last stop before 14:00 so I was hustling the same way Russian Rabbit picks up and delivers freight for UPS Freight. My T-Shirt has sweat salt stains on it.
Anyhow started at 0350 and got to my first stop I don't know about 0445 and then made it to my last stop at 13:50 I was working pretty hard I'm tired now though *yawn* anyhow got it all off without a hitch. They did though streamline my Tuesday route and today it ran a lot better then it has in the past 4-5 months so that was good. -
