Orlando to Atlanta loads paid $500-$600.
I deadheaded to Atlanta and did a 20 mile run for $1000 and was done by noon.
They wanted a truck there at 7am meaning truck had to be empty the day prior.
When in Florida I looked for closest best option for next day pick and that was it.
Ended better than taking the cheap loads out of Florida.
This is one of many examples.
The fact I can make more money deadheading of areas means too many dummies hauling cheap freight keeping rates down.Siinman, Deere hunter, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this. -
If it only were real for everyone. -
Most flatbed loads are open window.
When it comes to appointments and a crane is involved those loads often pay
Especially early morning because the truck has be to empty the day prior.Deere hunter and Knucklehead Thank this. -

What would help more? Knowing what the broker is getting paid from the shipper or actually combatting fraudulent carriers and brokers? Once everyone has their precious transparency what will the scapegoat be when they still can’t succeed?
Siinman, Deere hunter, Phoenix Heavy Haul and 4 others Thank this.
