I know the ARCO drivers do not get OT like before and that is a
    killing.

I loaded a 4k gal. tub, and about 4500 gal of 87 regular today. at a Tesoro rack. had 2 arms going on the trailer and 1 on the tub. from card-in to card-out was 21 minutes, with no wait time. those arms are lightning fast man, lightning fast. But still not as fast as our local chevron terminal, it's like 600 something gallons a minute.

It took us about twenty minutes to load in Las Vegas. But we were pulling 12,450 gallons a load. 600 gallons a minute is standard. The problem we had the most was the computers trying to talk with each other. When you put your card in the information would go from Vegas to Texas, L.A., then back to us. Of course it only took seconds to do but if a storm was anywhere around down the computers went. Our ethanol wasn't loaded proportional and a real pain to figure the load out and how much ethanol had to be injected. They told us they did it that way because of the temp and they wanted to pay CalNev no more than necessary. It was a big difference because no matter how much we told the company on the hold ups they would not inject at a 10% rate.

We load at a rack that still splash blends ethanol. Talk about slow. Ethanol valve closing please wait 30 seconds... Regular valve opening please wait 30 seconds... Oh and then a premium flush at the end for good measure... Please wait 30 seconds...

Oh and at that rack every arm has it's own meter that you need to log into and set individually. So if I'm using 4 arms I need to put in my pin, truck/trailer number, customer info, on all 4 meters.

Where are you talking about. To us Wilmington meant the refinery. You'd think they would try to work with us. They all do it however. A few years back Texaco told their bosses the gasoline was not looking right. We were just coming into the winter months. The bosses told them not to worry about it and after a couple of days the drivers did not have to worry about it because the gasoline turned into a non-flowing petroleum product. They had to pump every station out and clean their lines. Water had gotten into the gasoline and mixed with ethanol to become a milkshake type of mess. Now you'll see Texaco above ground tanks have a dome on top of the floating roof. I would hate to see that bill. All that bad fuel could not go back as trans mix because of the ethanol. So they had a lot of hazardous waste.

Correct Tesoro operates a refinery in wilmington and the adjacent rack. Thats actually a really good rack and really fast. This other one I was talking about is in long beach by terminal island, they are a marketing company not affiliated with any brand.

The Denver racks aren't all that quick. SunCor West is about the fastest, but they have it slowed down to a max of 350/min because people kept doming out. No midgrade, 2 regular arms and 1 premium. Fastest is about 15 min on a semi truck(not many truck/trailers here). DuPont sucks, most bays are 1 arm because they won't fix anything, only 1 2 arm gas bay, and it puts the ethanol in first.

You say no mid-grade. Is it blended at the pump in the stations. That's the best set up. Try to figure out how much regular and premium to make subgrade then mix the ethanol to bring the mix back up to meet the octane ratings. We used to give away octane then the companies really started to squeeze to make a buck.
