We do a fair bit of splits, especially when we head out of town. On Sunday, I dropped the trailer at one station in Prineville, and then the truck went to another station in Prineville up the street.

If it's in town, pretty much one stop. We don't do just stations though. We do boats, heating oil, we have Cardlocks, bio, ethanol, we have our own plants. It's never boring.

Would be nice to get out and stretch those legs lol. I think our longest run is only 130 miles.

Every day is a field trip up here, no doubt. I'm doing our longest one day trip Thursday. 570 miles round trip, I should have about a half hour of drive time left if everything goes right HA HA HA.

We do some overnight stuff as well, out to Idaho and such. We also do DEF and other side work for Love's NW.

    Simple question for cali drivers:

Do you ever make u - turns on side streets and is it legal to do so?

I've only made u turns a couple of times because of accidents or construction that would have detoured me down a small residential street. Whether it's legal, I don't know. But if it's the middle of the night and no ones around to see, did it even happen? But for the most part I know where I'm going since we do the same stations all the time, and I've lived in the area we service all my life. Plus you have to be careful with really tight turns like that because you can hit the back of the truck with the draw bar. I see a lot of KAG trucks with bent truck tail light brackets lol.

Only as a last resort do I make u turns, since I plan all my routing at the beginning of my shift super rarely do I have to. And in most cases they aren't legal or safe.
