The future of Delete Kits

So how does a glider become illegal but these kit cars that are built with an engine and frame ,etc. from a donor car are OK ? This will make for an interesting court case some day.

 

I want to know how to go about getting plates for a bran new glider peterbilt in Ontario .... anyone help me with this?? All I have heard is there is a $7,000 price tag for not meeting emissions ... and a 7 year window from when the glider is born ... ??

 

Best guess is to speak to Pete themselves or drop into an MTO office. Dunno about the penalty but I do know Freightliner has been pumping out Western Stars and whatnot with no problems. Seven years is how long they extended the smoke test on new iron before it's mandatory.
