I started with GM in July after 3 months of an unemployment rut. I had a good vibe from the get-go and was anxious to start rolling again. Orientation was pain-less and relaxed and they treated us like we run the company. I guess because we do. After 6 months, I still get treated well, The miles are better than what I forecast for the season, I don't have to ask for my extra pay, the freedom from routes and fuel stops is wonderful, and my wallet hasn't been this thick in a long time. Of course I'm a 27 y/o single guy with only a cell phone bill each month, who lives on the road. This is the lifestyle I belong in and the only way I will be happier is operating my own authority. I am preparing to take that step. But will stay with GM as long as I am a company driver.

Remember, be negative, see negative. Be positive see results.

    See ya on the highway!

Out the window with his hopes and dreams I imagine.. I too am a victim of the Celadon takeover. Had made plans to go to ACT after the first of the year and I just moved my start date up.I wouldnt work for celedon if they paid me HAHA joke..No seriosly i've heard some really bad things about them and i asked glen moore if i could work up until christmas and they said if i wasnt signing with celedon and go to orientation immediatly to just take my truck to indy celedon yard and go home. So i turned in my truck hopped a bus to Kansas City and here I am waiting on tomorrow to start my next big adventure..
