JHelp me daydream a bit.
Share with us high mileage duct tape truck drivers. I want details.
How did you find out you were getting a new truck?
Someday my ship will come in.
Thanks

It's new to me it has 394 thousand on it oo spec 13 speed Columbia maroon midroof. I was at the right place at the right time. That was it just luck I waited over a year to get a newer one the one I'm in has 622k and 2 years left on the lease. Hope this helps and u can look back and kinda see when this happened on this thread
-
I apologize for the confusion everybody knows they aren't leasing new trucks. Or at least I assumed everyone did!
-
To my knowledge unless they have changed since Dan left you can lease a new truck. Its the down payment that will get you. If I remember its 5,000$ down plus the 2 weeks instead of just the 2 weeks. I have run across 1 o/o driving a blue cascadia that did it this way in the last year. -
What I meant was, did they call you on the phone, or send a message over the Qualcomm such as "want a newer truck?".
If you're leasing this then I guess its a moot point. I was just curious as a company driver how that announcement is handled. Mine has 630k on the odometer, and I count my blessings that I have not had any mechanical issues. I'll gladly drive this one into the ground as long as it keeps running well, rather than have a nice shiny one in the maintenance bay. -
My bad.
I overlooked the title of this forum. Didn't mean to hijack this one. I hope to be a lease operator some day, just got lost in the excitement of a new truck.
Thanks for sharing the experience. -
It's fine sprinks no worrys, I will warn yall there is a guy in a blue cascadia that can't tell the truth to save his life, I've caught him in several lies. And they aren't leasing new trucks case I had to wait for one to get turned in. At least that's what they told me whether or not that's the case is a different thing and I was just talking to them and they offered me this truk because I was about to leave if they didn't get me one. Like I sed I waited over a year before I started really bugging them

Yep timing is everything cause they don't have a stockpile of trucks to lease out, I timed mine just right and the driver retired and turned in the truck 3 days before i called Dan and said get me one, so i jumped on it, I only seen 2 lease trucks at marshfield when i was last there, one was roehl929's truck and one other one.

I would agree that some o/o's cant seem to speak the honest truth about anything. Including miles run or monies earned. I was taught by some wise people to take everything with a grain of salt and if its important get it in writing.
I myself have a running average of 2180 for 20 weeks right now and have argued with troy more times about this issue and get the same " freights slow crap".
I only have 8 months left on my lease and the truck will be moving to greener pastures. I dont think I would lease another truck again thru Roehl. -
Freight is not slow at all lol
