Oh im not faulting him, i hope so too, im just faulting that new way of getting repairs lol.. its a crock of BS lol

gonna see alot more ppl putting theirself out of service to get repairs rather then getting them while under a load i bet.

Sounds like I'm going to use my own funds for anything up to about $500.00. I've also had it with Roehl's attitude of "your on your own" when things break, but then want to squeeze every dime of our money. I've also had it with Freightliner and ThermoKing. Maybe they should check out what happened to England when they tried to mess around with driver's escrow funds. Can you tell I'm one step closer to considering making a change?

By the way, my goal has always been to get to a point the maintenance fund was only used for major repairs. Things like PM's, and normal repairs such as water pumps, starters, etc. would be paid for out of my personal maintenance fund. It took an hour to get my money for the apu repair when I was in Texas. That's streamlining for you.

Yea I can't wait to see what's next. Maby they will cut our trucks back to 62 eliminate the option of refusing loads, and regulate our hometime! Sound familiar? I can handle these e logs but anything more and I will be at landstar. Don't get me wrong I am happy here but I'm not only here because I like it I'm here for the money too. If one of those things changes I wud be audi 5000

Thankfully they can't force dispatch, or regulate hometime. If they do we are considered employees. Maybe Roehl should check what Congress is trying to do and then maybe they would back off. There are a bunch of Democrats who want to eliminate the entire independent contractor system. Things like this nonsense are the type of things that add fuel to the fire.

I seem to remember two announcements by Roehl that they had hired someone for curtainside and flatbed. The first announcement was that he had come from Arrow, then when Arrow went down in flames, this person was simply from another major carrier. This wouldn't be the one in charge of the I/C department now would it?

At this point I have given up on miles, it's just not going to happen. That is why I built my business plan around a 7500 mile per month break-even. I have stayed for the truck, but if things don't improve on that end then my reasons for staying are pretty much gone. Yes at the moment I am angry, frustrated and ready to throttle someone. Then when some brainiac comes up with this "streamlined" method for shutting down our trucks it puts me over the top. Maybe this is Roehl's way of justifying keeping FMs, DSRs or whatever they want to call themselves.

I'm not sure bout that, but I'm not worrying about it I know how to jump ship ill go to sni if I have to but I have quite a few options. But I don't want to do that I have a lot of money tied up here. I do know what u mean but I highly doubt that that guy had much to do with arrows demise the owners did most of that themselves.

I'm getting ready to go to bed. The last couple of posts are in large part venting. I am going home with 850 total miles since last Thursday. I have to get a physical Friday, an apu fixed either Friday or Monday, plus my daughter has a play Tuesday morning and a concert Tuesday night. Maybe a few days out of the truck is what I need at this point.

Preach on preacherman! Lol... I vent here all the time. Better than blowing up on my FM lol.. the best case I have figurered out on utilizing that new meathod is( when its repairs u can schudule)

pick a town that u deliver in.
Find a shop online or gps and call them to see if they can get u in for said repairs.

Let fm know u r going out of service once u make delivery for repairs and that u will send them the quote for it once they look at it.

Then get quote from them on total out the door cost.

    Shoot it to fm.

    Have repairs done.

Then go about it normally with maint...

A heck of a lot of steps but the only way I can think to do it.
