Good deal that will be helpful for sure

Okay so according to pat who spoke with Jeff today basically if ur fm is there use them first if its after hours just call maint. As usual. Apparently a lot of guys were just calling maint first no matter what time
-
I started just calling maint., because my last two fms didn't want to bother. I was always told to call maint. So that's what I did, no muss no fuss. Get the work done and as long as I had the money in the account there were no issues.
On another note. Got a call from Springfield ThermoKing. They opened an account for me and gave me a $320 credit. They also told me the only people who will be working on my apu will be people who know what they're doing on tripac units. Maybe I'm finally going to get a truck and apu that I can rely on (knock on wood.) Now we'll see how the physical goes tomorrow. -
Thats. A far cry from what was stated on the voicemail LOL. My FM said just give him a ballpark amount lol.its whatever lol. Neither hand knows what the other is doing. LOL ... is that the pat in the blue cascadia pat? From bowling green?
-
How about just load up whatever is in the maint account? Need a starter? That's good for about a grand. Sorry, my bad, it was only half of that.
-
Lol ok u scared me there for amoment I was like a grand!! Cause I'm gonna need one. Gonna go to the big rig shop by my house that works on all the log trucks out my way to see if they can do it cause there isn't a freightliner nowhere near me lol
-
Cause then they wouldn't have control over what u buy lol that could be bad for some ppl who want all the toys for the truck lol

If you listen to Kevin Rutherford on Trucking Business and Beyond, talk to other o/o's in the driver's room or at the truck stops, it becomes rather obvious that at least half of the guys trying to run their own truck have no clue how to handle their business or even understand that they are in business. I don't have an issue with a mandatory maintenance fund, or that they restrict what you can use it for. My issue is that it shouldn't take longer to pay the shop, than they took to do the repair. My intention has always been to build up enough cash on hand to take care of things like tires, ordinary repairs like starters and PMs. I would like to get to a point the maintenance fund is only there for larger repairs-like radiators.
(Although I did see a really nice comfortable air seat for only $750, right color, leather, fully adjustable arm rests) -
