I'm the opposite of you two. I understand the business and leave the mechanical to the "experts." I found out real quick how much trouble I could get into relying on someone else to keep my books. I knew I had problems six weeks before I ever got a statement from ATBS. By keeping the business as a sole-proprietorship it makes things easy. Just remember the maintenance fund is taxable as retained earnings. Repairs themselves are deductible. At the rate I'm going the IRS will owe me.

And I'm pretty good mechanically if I have the part and tools a mechanic won't touch my truck. Lol u made a joke at your own expense! Gotta love it

You'll love this. Roehl has ticked my doctor off to the point he's ready to school them on dot physicals. His comment to me is that the only b.s. with him is his initials. He's a real doctor that is also dot certified, has hospital privileges, can write prescriptions and everything. He did the most thorough exam I've had since before I started going to Roehl's "doctors." He gave me a two year card because there was no medical reason not too. Roehl says he can't because I'm taking medication. He double checked the regulations and it says nothing about only a one year certificate for anything other than high blood pressure or any other medical condition that prevents a driver from being safe. So we are playing by Roehl's rules so I can get back to work. I have to have an annual exam anyway so that isn't the issue, it's just who knows more?

Reading the applicable paragraph, my doctor as my treating physician is the one who can give me a two year card. He has been my doctor since the beginning of my driving career. Now that I'm responsible for my own dot physical I can use someone I trust instead of the company's current Dr. Bombay. (For you youngsters, check out the television series Bewitched.)
