I'm not in a position to relocate. A lot of what I'm dealing with are the growing pains of a new business and the frustration I have always felt with take it or leave it dispatching. Maybe part of my rant was due to a misunderstanding about hometime. I realize I'm not going to get 10,000 miles a month and get home. However my business plan called for 20 days on the road. At 450 miles a day that would be 9000 miles. I am on the road many days more than my goal of 20 and yet I average less than 8500 a month. That is my biggest frustration.

The other point is that a lot of us aren't out here because we love being on the road. We do this because it gives us the best opportunity to achieve our goals. Believe it or not, my wife wants to add more trucks and build a business we can leave to our daughter.

By the way, just spent $ 800 to replace a starter.

Breathalyzer too? Is that even something they can do without suspicion?

Oh sure. especially since, while you're doing all that stuff, you're "On Duty"

That doesn't sound right. Urine tests yes, but to breath test you I don't get that? Especially when you are off duty for the time period before. I just don't understand.
