maybe team roehl will listen to why drivers are thinking about leaveing and do some adjustments to get them to stay. ( sighs while day dreaming about the mileage standard being adjusted so its actually achievable)

Thermo-King really went through it including adjusting the belt. Speedco was basically just a spill and fill. I had Speedco in Atlanta do a dot while doing my last pm. They missed a crack in the exhaust which Roehl caught. Another issue I have with Speedco is that they used the wrong filter in my fuel/water separator.

I was never a big fan of Speedco, it seemed like they were to busy trying to sell me more stuff, rather than doing a good job of what I was paying them for. I am lucky, there is an oil refinery in the next town where I live, and a good friend worked in the Lab. I would do all my own changes and he would run my samples throught the lab. I would always do something myself before I would pay someone else... I even put a clutch in my 2nd truck. Having been around them my whole life has helped, and also having the tools and a garage also was handy. I just always had a real hard time paying someone else to do something I could do myself.
-
I know enough about mechanics to know I should let the experts do it. Don't get me wrong, I do the really simple stuff, but clutches, starters, radiators x 2, I leave to people with experience, training, tools and garages.
-
I know I can do most everything myself, but I think paying someone to do the work is worth it in the end. You have someone to hold accountable (well sort of) lol. I would only do the work if I got a lot of time and have tools and workspace readily available.

I do agree that speedco is in the business of trying to upsale you everything.

Any of these larger places are about selling and pushing more. That's how they make more profits. Just like the cashier at pilot trying to sell you a water for 50 cents at the counter since you bought a soda. Lol.
-
Would you like fries with that???
-
Or subway staff asking double meat double cheese? Cookies for a dollar more. They get into trouble if they don't ask. Lol. I get annoyed and sometimes answer before they ask. Lol
