I don't suppose I could trade Kristin for Marge in a straight up trade could I? How about if I throw in an Eric Wilson with Kristin and two new, never used drivers?

Each of the hometime dispatch teams are assigned a number letter code. If you had Marge that was a long time ago, I started with her and Brandon. If I remember correctly that was hometime 4b. She was supposed to go to planning when she left hometime, I guess she went back to dispatching. Anyway out of the blue I now have JT and Kristin and it is known as hometime 4d. It makes sense since o/o need more information before accepting loads and if there is a repair issue Roehl wants the dispatchers to approve the payments. Dispatchers that only work 7:00-5:00 Monday through Friday just doesn't cut it. Now we have someone from 6:30-6:30 seven days a week. I'm just not sure Kristin undersatands what it is to be an owner-operator. We have more in common with Everett Roehl than we do his son.

Have to check into this, far as i know I'm under Rick L. Still and he works 0600-1600 , yea been little over a year since i had Marge, had her and mike out of ellenwood, as split dispatchers when i was company driver, would love if i could get Mike as my dispatcher now! He is a awesome guy and i still talk to him weekly just to shoot the sh¥t, on the fence as to what my future plans are, only have 8 months left on my lease but really considering heading to SNI and try the choice program even if it means starting over, the fact i have no control over my possible revenue here is about to take it's toll on me

If you only have 8 months left I would check into getting a third party loan. Your business should have enough of a track record by now. I know the feeling though. I did some calculating and figured out when my lease is up I will have a gently used truck. It will be a 2009 truck with only 650,000 miles and that will be in 2015. I'm leaning towards Landstar, but for me both SNI's choice board and Landstar are in play.

Finally got the invoice for the work Appleton did on my truck when it failed their inspection. Two Michelin steers, and three sets of brake shoes came to just over $1100. If I had the work done somewhere else it would have cost a lot more. Each set of brake shoes would have cost me $250, so that alone would have been $750. I still would have had to get the tires and I doubt I would have gotten them for $400 each. If I didn't mention it before Roehl's standard for steer tires is 125,000, I managed to get 180,000 out of mine.

I have been battling bad fuel, so I have been using Howe's Diesel Treatment, I also slowed down a couple miles per hour. I have noticed a jump in my fuel economy of about .03 mpg.

Preacher, I know you track fuel and costs this pretty closely. I wonder if you have looked at what you make on an hourly basis? Why?
I have a theory that most, correct me if I am wrong, truckers look at costs on a "per load" and mpg basis. I have look at it from a "how much can I make per hour" basis. Yes, its a different mindset, but it just doesn't make sense to me the way some companies look at trucking.
When I get a chance I'll give you more details. Typing on my phone sux for a long message.
