I asked Dale about Canada. He said I probably wouldn't go there three times in a year, which is fine by me. Hopefully that will be the case if they take me. I'm sure my wife and I can deal with an occassional trip up there. My previous employer sent me in three times my last trip out. Into Ontario on 1/30 and out on 1/31. Into New Brunswick on 2/5 and out on 2/7. Into Ontario on 2/11 and continued on to Quebec and finally made it back out on 2/14. 6 nights in Canada in the winter in a very short period of time was a bit more than we were comfortable with.
I noticed reading thru the thread that the OP never went into Canada and another regular poster likes it and went in a few times.
Are you still enjoying your time with Heyl? From everything I have read it should be a very good fit for Florida drivers. I'll have some adjustments to make. I've only driven Dry Van so far and I put 112,500 miles on a KW T-600 13-speed. Haven't touched a 10-speed since driving school. So the road test should be interesting. Just waiting on one former employer to fax back info and I believe they are gonna set me up for drug test and orientation soon after. My wife wouldn't mind me around the house for a few weeks but I figure I better strike while the iron is hot. -
