How much money do you want to make? The slower you drive the more money you can keep for yourself. When freight rate are low you might still make a profit and stay in business till rate go back up. When the next person will go out of business.

There is guy on Facebook driving Volvo all set up for MPG he’s getting like 10 mpg and he’s driving slow.

Going slow doesn’t always equal more profit. Sometimes for me it can force me to take a 34 because I slow-poked across the country.
Sometimes I can haul butt across the country and get a 34 in before my delivery.. Or be able to run another load down the east or west coast.

Driving slow can sure burn up some time and time is money. I lost an extra $2k this week because I saved some gas money :)

But that’s me running spot crap all over. If I had a regular run then I could adjust my speed to maximize my profits.
