And businesses want nothing to do with NY states taxes. Its criminal. Until states get their entitlement plans in check things are gonna stay the same. Cant tax businesses and rich people out of the state. Poor people dont create jobs

I don't blame ya. Why be away from home when a guy can make $30+ an hour and be home every night?

I drove through monument valley today and stopped at a Navajo swap meet in Shiprock, NM. It’s one of those days where I love OTR.

Don't get too choppy now......Things can happen- What happens if you lose this Milk job?
Are you in an urban area to pick n choose more local jobs?

Be Careful how you present yourself- One day you might just be in a sleeper truck again saying goodnight to the kids over the telephone.

I don't make 30 bucks an hour, wish I did. I can honestly say I'm at $54k+ per year. How many Werner, swift, or Schneider guys can say that with a straight face.... doubt too many. I can't complain.

Also the type of work I do is very different. I am without a doubt a driver, but I only really drive about 100 or so miles per day.... 4 or 5 stops at farms and 2 drop and hook back at the yard.

The rest of my day is measuring, sampling, and loading milk.... also the paperwork that goes with the load.

I never had to build up stamina to drive 400 or more miles in a stretch, well at least not since I left Werner. I get plenty of time to get out of the truck and perform other responsibilities. Going to the bathroom, not a problem.

I would do the milk job. Especially if I liked my hometown more than I do. But OTR still gives me pleasure and I’m good at it. I do get it how it’s not worth it to many others.

I take great care in my driving as to avoid mishaps. There is a multitude of milk haulers in my region. I left serafini on good terms.

Sleeper truck is out of the question, I would likely give up driving before i do that. My kids and my marriage are way too important to me.

I like What I'm doing and plan on keeping where in am for a while.

Ok,Why? I Get it you don't want to lose your Wife and Kids- But If your Marriage is Strong Like Mine is- It Wont Matter.

I Spent over 25 years driving overnight trips- Now Im Home pretty much daily But I Created a Great atmosphere for my family working hard..........

No Need to be Embarrassed driving a Sleeper Truck-0 As Long as you can create a good future for you and family-

Still tough being away from kids. Once my kids are grown I’m gonna get back behind an OTR tractor.
