I think I pissed off the producers a few years ago. I made several comments on their FB page asking whether or not they were filming in Fort Mac. They were staging their trucks just up the road from where I was living at the time. Saw HR52 roll into town on their lowbed their first morning in town.
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Heavy Rescue 401 that's in Toronto, that's closer to me much closer instead of the other side of the continent it's just on the other side of the lake and to the north east a tad LOL!

What I find interesting is how all the snow plows work, like how the guys were out there on the 401 with there plow formation keeping the road clear, in that special formation.
What's even better is all the idiots who think they are going to slip by and through the plow formation. -
If any of you guys saw Heavy Rescue 401 that 75 ton Rotator Classic Towing was using, oh my, that thing could eat Jamie Davis Rotator alive.

So I was watching the end of the year round up on season 4 of Highway Thru Hell and I'm pretty sure Al Quiring and Gord Boyd could pull a freight train out of a ditch just the two of them.
Quiring while he's not as good as our Brian might possibly be one of the best ever. He certainly has a nice prosperous business there that is for sure.brian991219 Thanks this. -
And, if the praise above was meant for me, thank you, but really there are many operators out there much more skilled than I am. I do have extensive knowledge of the towing industry because I am a third generation tower, but since I do not do it everyday anymore I am not always up to speed on the latest refinements to equipment and methods.
You want to see a skilled operator, check out this You Tube video. Richard Guttmann is a good friend of mine, we went to the same high school and both got our start in towing at the same small mom & pop outfit (one that I would end up owning years later). He is now a Senior Product Specialist for the heavy towing division of Jerr-Dan Corporation (owned by OshKosh). His specialty is rotators and extremely complicated recoveries and lifts. This video, which is dedicated to his mentor and good friend Ed Cardiello, only showcases a tiny portion of his three decade career in the towing industry.
The Shadow, Ruthless, IH Truck Guy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Sublime and brian991219 Thank this.

Als a good guy, he'll shoot the #### with anyone and doesn't mind talking about the show. His sons def aren't like Jamie's useless bum of a son either.
