You got that right. Usually it is not worth it! I have another industry friend that had a similar tv show on Speed channel a few years back, Wrecked. It featured O'Hare Towing from Chicagoland, they lost so much business with just two seasons of tv, customers didn't call them when the crews were filming because they didn't want their screwup exploited on tv. Eventually Bill stopped participating in the show, but the damage was done and they are just now back to where they were prior to the filing. If you search you can find interviews he did before and after the show, it is amazing to see the difference in his opinion in just two seasons.

I made it through all 4 seasons on Netflix. Definite props to Al and Gord. Those guys know what they're doing.

I had wondered the same thing about O'Hare Towing.

You ever see the 1997 film "The Devils Advocate", where at the end of the movie Al Pachino says "Vanity gets them every time."

I just finished season 4 my self and actually season 4 was like the second part of season 3. It was a split.
    A couple things,
For one that guy Randy Jackknife, that guy is a hard worker holy cow, he might be a little bit of a cow boy, but that guys is a hard worker for sure, he was really really really trying hard.

Collin, I thought they should have given him a tad more credit, for not being real experienced at towing in Alberta and going up there and going from zero man to here's the key's go get um, I thought he really did good too, I mean he was on a couple hard one's and he got through it all.

The Rotator it's self, if all that was damaged on the Rotator was a scratch on the side of it, then I am amazed, I mean I know it's a huge machine meant to do heavy work, but everyday in that weather 24/7 365 just getting the tar beat out of it, I would imagine and fully expect it to have some battle scares after all it is a ware item at the end of the day. Jamie even said "We switch these trucks out every 5 years." I mean your not constantly going to be jarring on that thing and have it come away looking nice and pretty, especially how those guys have rigging and other stuff get scraped up.

Another one is that guy Jamie hired to do traffic control when Brandon quit. My favorite part was when that gentleman said "Well I'm going to do an inspection of my truck here, before I leave the yard, make sure my lights work and my light bar works and I have all my gear."

Jamie had this look on his face like "Pre trip inspection to make sure you have everything before you leave the yard? What a novel idea! That man right now for that idea and act alone is getting an instant promotion. In fact everyone here could learn from him." I thought Jamie was going to say "I could have hugged him, he's been here two days and has managed to do more then Brandon did in 3 years."

That other guy John who was the lead man in BC, I didn't think John was that awful they were always "Oh the verdict is out on John." Was it really? I mean he wasn't really getting jobs that he could do alone very well, like that truck off the bridge into the creek loaded with travel trailers, how's one guy going to clean that mess up there was no way, I mean even Al has, his two son's and Gord and two big trucks and a flat deck and some other pieces of equipment.
I mean like @brian991219 said all this stuff takes a lot of expensive machinery and tools and a ton of capital, there's certain things that you just need the right tools for the job and there's no real way around it.

So I don't think John was really that bad, then Brandon leaving good riddance he was worthless, then you had Kevin Ritchie, what does Kevin Ritchie do? I know he does traffic control and some rigging, but I never see him driving any of the tow trucks at all ever not a 1ton or a 50 ton. Is he kind of just an immediate response guy, that seems to be all he really does, I mean I've not seen him drive a 1-ton, 50 ton or even a bob tail tractor. He seems like an alright fella, I just kind of wondered what his job kind of is.

Another guy who you see bits and pieces of, was Gord Lundee, he seems like an okay dude, he was running the Rotator in that one episode and he towed a few cars here and there seems like a smart guy.
