So I got Blair hooked up with his first 14' wide load, lots of two lane in OKLAHOMA, either he will learn a lot or I will learn a lot of NZ swear words.

Good for him. Did ya get him mirror extenders or is he running blind at the mercy of the pilot cars?

He has mirrors, and a very good pilot car. Should be fine.

A note for guys that aren't experienced with od loads. A good pilot car is almost as hard to find as a good truck driver. When you find a good one, keep his or her info for future loads.

Whenever I read this thread,it jogs memories from years ago,and forgive me,I have to add some useless trinket.Pictured below is a girl I use to use for an escort all the time, she was great.I can't remember her name, but she lived in northern Colorado, below Cheyenne, maybe someone will remember her.Back in the 80's,+ 90's,we had a fairly steady haul of sawmill equipment out of Roseburg,Oregon. going all over.Maine,N.C.,Eastern Canada.Stuff was a little over 14' wide, but we called it 14,no cop ever wanted to climb up to check.Could run without escort till we got to Wyoming Nebraska line, and that's where I would connect with her.Not only was she very good at her job,she was a lot of fun, plus she was Miss Colorado Body Builder, very easy on the eyes. When we would get on the two lanes, she would get in front, turn on her wig wag headlites, and oncoming traffic would think she was a cop with that big Chevy, would make hellish good time! She came from an escort family, and her mom told her, always carry a bottle of Crown Royal in the trunk for emergencies,a truckers friend, lol.Wish I could remember her, name, but I always called ahead and reserved her for every trip.

Yeah, but we don't know what they are when we hear them.

While he was playing 14 wide I was doing a 15 high
