NO! You're supposed to harvest the bark off the trees nearby the truckstop, chew it up til you get the correct consistency, run over the paste with the bald trailer tires til it's nice and flat, then use THAT to take your notes on!! Sheesh, didn't they teach you ANYthing in truckin school 101 class?

I ran the PNW my first couple weeks just to ensure I could get back home in time to get married. It's a joke out there. This time I went from Salt Lake - Denver and a $1.12 from Denver to Texas just to get out. Now I'm in Ohio happy as can be with my $2.20 load to Jersey!

But yeah, do your best to get out of there and stay out

Cheap, fuel prices are high, speed limits are low. But sometimes CA loads head out east. Don't run CA if you can help it.

Actually just put a giant NO along every Pacific coast state. California Oregon Washington bad!

Thank you for the info. I was researching freight lanes. I am out of Dallas. Idk why I thought finding a lane going from dfw to California n bacc would be ideal. After doing more research it seems possible to make decent money running in Texas, intrastate.

What are some areas in the south that you avoid?

Ummm.........Thats Not a Good rate- Not even decent in these tough times- That lane demands $1400-$1500 from North Ohio to central jersey or north.(400-450 miles)

Oregon has a .14 cpm road tax charge for all miles run in the state on top of low rates/high fuel price / etc.
