Hey Mort, do you need to run both days and nights throughout the week in order to meet your delivery schedules?

Not too often. I usually start my day early and shut down mid-afternoon to late afternoon. Sometimes I run hard early and take a long break before delivery, so I run nights.

I drove late last night just because I knew I was going to a terminal where parking wouldn't be an issue. If I had to take a 10, I'd have left early yesterday morning.

It's more about how I feel about it and parking. This load I'm loading today has plenty of time built into it. However, it starts loading at 1400, so I might not get rolling until 1600. That's not cool. I might just run to the first truck stop and take a 10. I could also come back to the Sulfer terminal and head out at 0300 on Monday. It's 740 to delivery, so I have options on how I want to get there by 0800 on Wed. Yes, there will be dispatch delay on this trip too.

Went ahead and took the load back to Sulfur instead of heading out in the late afternoon yesterday.

I'm going full blown solar powered trucker today and rolling with the sun.

A marker light was out during pretrip. I'm a dummy and didn't have one in the truck so I had to wait for the shop to open in Sulfur.

You couldn't just roll and add 1 from a truck stop or something?

That's what I would have done if I didn't have to cross a scale before the truck stop. Chances are slim getting pulled over for a marker light.

I am getting loaded now. Delivery appointment is 8AM Wed at Unilever Jefferson City

Gotcha. After I posted, I had wondered 8f maybe it was a weird light like what I have on my trailer now. One of my markers is an LED and has a different type of connect than the standard 2 pin. So someone cut the wires and rewired the new connector in and screwed it up. Now when then lights are off, the marker is on. Lights come on, the marker goes off.

I just leave it like that so whomever slip seats into my truck on the weekends has something to ponder lol

I could have rolled, but since I've got over 2 days to roll 742 miles, having a coffee and let the mechanic make it right was a better option for me.

Erica, dispatch out of Memphis, has already got a trailer ready for me to roll with on Thursday. It's a little run into SC and I'll fall under Greer. It delivers Friday, so of Greer doesn't have anything ready for me, I'll likely get tank washed home.

Considering asking Memphis if I can go north or west instead.....just a thought. Wouldn't mind staying out a few weeks, but home is always nice too

Ran into a Memphis driver about a month ago, and supposedly, they have loads going to sparks, Nevada. So maybe you will luck up and get one of those loads
